Once in a lifetime

This trip was way more challenging than I expected. By the end of the second day I was really wondering what I had gotten myself into.But the AMAZING views, super wonderful guide (thank you Juan Carlos!), and awesome food helped keep me alive for the rest of the way.

At the end of the day, it was completely worth the physical pain. The people who take the train straight to Machu Picchu get to the same destination (and it is a spectacular destination) but the journey is so much more than that.

The sights along the way, and the satisfaction of trekking those massive heights, are unbeatable!!!.
