We woke up each morning to a gentle tap on our tent for coca tea to wake us up, top tier service and authentic meals every day. Ever was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about inca history, plants and the culture in Peru. He was extremely patient with us and allowed us to soak in all of the Inca Trail 's glories along the way despite having gone down this route 300x.
If you want to experience Peru and its rich Inca culture and not get lost in the crowd at Macchu Picchu I definitely recommend this trip. Disclaimer: it is am extraneous hike particularly on day 2-3. The Peruvian flats are more like roller coasters and when the tour guides or locals say it's just over there it is a little longer than you think. However, you will be rewarded much for your momentarily sufferings.
We saw people of all ages, singles, families and retirees on this trail. You can do it!.
