Salkantay trek adventure is amazing, led by an awesome crew guided by Pedro. The trek is well designed to accommodate everyone's own pacing with picturesque views every step of the way.
The first day was probably the most demanding, we visited a beautiful lagoon on the mountains after a short but difficult uphill hike. The hike got us acclimated to the heights around 4200 meters. We then moved further up Salkantay at 4600 meters before moving down into the mountain ending at 2800 meters.
The change in heights also came with a change in view. From frost white mountain tops to rain forest greens; with a change from near 0 degrees to 30 degrees. At the end of our third day we stopped by a hot spring; much appreciated relaxation.
Prior to hiking to manchupichu pableo, for 100 soles, we were able to zip through the mountains instead of a 3hr hike. Best zipline adventure ever, do not cheat yourself for not doing all the positions. Oh yes, the food prepared by chef Ronnie was to die for; Peruvian food is quickly becoming a favourite.
I would recommend and maybe join Pedro for an Inca Trail next :)
