The Salkantay pass blew my mind as did the zip-lining experience and riding the pony on the ascent. I have a whole new respect for the tough Peruvian stamina and their sincere approach to life and how they treat strangers - North Americans could learn a great deal from them. Be prepared to be challenged. The food was served in abundance and the service excellent.
