From altitude sickness to aching limbs, every step of this journey has been a challenge. But the pain is insignificant the minute you look up and take in the view. From crystal glaciers to white water rapids; from snowy peaks to lucious rainforests; Peru is magnificent and I couldn't think of a better way to see it than with Inca Trail s.
We were greeted each morning with coca tea and warm smiles and our guide Lizandro was patient, kind and witty. On the walk to Agues Caliente, when he heard a train approaching, he quickly put a sole coin on the track. After it passed and the coin was flattened, he gave it to us as a souvenir. I will take away far more than that coin as a souvenir, the memories I have from this trip are priceless. Gracias, amigos. Till we meet again!.
