Salkantay 5 day trail

Our family hiked this trial in August 2014. In a word: Awesome. We arrived in Cusco and was thoroughly briefed on what we were to bring and also what we should expect.

One very important thing to remember is layers of clothing is a must have, as the temperatures vary from cold to hot. Rain gear can be used as a layer for warmth. Well broken in shoes are a must, otherwise you hike in tevas.

The staff are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The food is great! This will be one of the most memorable experiences for me! If you want a great trip, I highly recommend this trip.
