Guidance and coordination of the trip was very well done. Being 65 and attempting the climbed at the altitudes we were at was too optimistic. By the time I struggled into Aguas Calientes, I care very little about seeing Machu Picchu. I only recommend this for people who are in very good physical shape.
Going in the rainy season offered favorable temperatures but also made much of the trek and camping sites very muddy. I have no complainants about the tour guide or the cook or the scenery. The difficulties were because of my own limitations. Instead of being full of awe, I was full of "I hope I survive".
