The different landscapes and scenery along with the the differences in altitudes and temperatures makes Salkantay in particular an extremely enjoyable and challenging hike.
The guides Salkantay.Org use are very personable and went above and beyond our expectations, and compared to other guides we saw with other companies, we were glad to have chosen Salkantay.Org . The support staff, including cooks and horsemen were also amazing. The meals were of excellent quality and not dissimilar to what you would find in a restaurant in Cuzco. Compared to the other tour groups we were eating like kings!
The accommodation in Aguas Calientes was also excellent and was a welcome relief after the 4 days of hiking and nice to wake up to before going to Machu Picchu.
Overall I would recommend Salkantay.Org as the guide, assistants, food and general trip experience was of excellent quality and make for an unforgettable experience that we will never forget. everything was really good.
