Chat on WhatsAppI did not know what to expect about this hike. I spent a month in cusco before doing this Salkantay trek and had heard many great things.
After doing the hike I to would say it was a great hike. The food on the hike was excellent. Our cook was extremely friendly and great at his job! Our horseman was great and got our stuff to us on time every day. I felt that overall our tour guide and group under estimated our capabilities because we finished every aspect of the hike faster than they expected. This was annoying, they should expect the fastest and slowest at the same time and be prepared for both. Our guide was very nice and friendly.
As an actually hiking guide I feel he was very impressive. I felt that he had things he wanted to do on the trip and then persuaded us to do them even if it may have not been the best option. Overall I had a great time.
