This trip can be summed up with the saying "It's the journey that matters not the destination". I thought that the end of this trip would be the high point, I was wrong. The Machu Picchu ruins where amazing, but hiking along the Inca Trail with our knowledgeable guides and amazing porters was the true highlight of my trip to Peru.
Making it to the summit of Dead Woman's pass in the Andes Mountains at 4215 meters the air is thin but the view can't be summed up in words. Thank you to all the porters that made this trip possible by carrying what I never could have and making such delicious food for a very tired girl.
