Speaking of the trail, simply amazing to walk something with such deep history of a splendid ancient peoples. The trail had beautiful scenery of mountains, jungle, small villages and Inca sites. The trail was challenging at times but well worth the effort put forth.
Our guide Manuel, made the Inca Trail experience that much better!! He was personable, humorous and made an effort to have our group be a family on the trail. It's because of his leadership that our group became so supportive and cohesive. His passion and knowledge of the Inca peoples was so appreciated when we came to ancient sites. I'm so happy I experienced a guide like Manuel for this adventure.
A special thanks also to the wonderful porters!! They worked so hard to make sure we were well fed, camp set up and camping gear taken care of, it's because of this care that trips such as these are successful.
