A few of us were amateur hikers and found the 4 day trek grueling but enjoyable. Never before have i seen so many steps on a trail and doing them at such an elevation as Woman Dead pass took quite a toll both physically and mentally. We were rewarded for our toiling on the last day by arriving in Machu Picchu at the Sun Gate.
The porters and Jesus made the trek extremely comfortable with good food and the setting up of camp for our arrival.
They made the land of a thousand steps a comfortable adventure. Never will i look at a staircase the same way without rembering back to this trek. Thank you !!!.
