The stairway to Machu

Four days, three nights. Sounded simple 6 months ago when I booked it. Want the extra mountain climb at the end? Yes please! Four days later and they\’ve gone and booked our goodbye meal in a first floor restaurant, the cruel masters. As we reflect on the trip it has been an incredible, emotional experience \”a real up and down\” experience. If I never see another step in my life I\’m good with that, lifts all the way. We\’ve been as high as 4200 m and as low as 2300 m, all in a day. I cannot recommend the trip highly enough, the company was great although the tents could do with being replaced. Our guide, Juan Carlos deserves a special mention. He was so knowledgeable and didn\’t miss a thing. From the name of every plant (in Inca) to the tropical bird that he spotted in the pitch black. Don\’t miss this trip, and you could do a lot worse than booking with Inca Trail Reservations . I would again (never again!)
