The experience I felt was very carefully curated. The tour guide provided great guidance and information on the trail.
He was also very passionate about his inca history, what you'd want from a guide I'd say. The food the porters provided was fantastic, a lot of variation and quite a few hidden tasty snacks. The tent was big, the sleeping bag was thick; not a lot I can say to put down this experience.Be warned that the trek is demanding if you aren't a seasoned walker. However don't let this put you off.
If you have determination and the support I believe anyone can power through this historic trek. The walking sticks were my best friends over the last 4 days.
