Trying to write a decent description of the last 5 days is about as difficult as the hike we just did for the last 5 days. It was epic, to say the least. Day one we were picked up in freezing cold Cuzco at 530am by a surprisingly energetic Carlos; our guide who we'd know to come and love over the course of the tour.
The following days were a mix of amazing landscapes, epic light, freezing sleeping bags, an overload of some of the best food I've ever eaten and a whole heap of pain as we trekked through some of the most beautiful but challenging country I can honestly say I've ever lived amongst.
Carlos (our guide) kept us laughing non-stop, our chefs cooked better food than you could order in a restaurant, and again, the landscape was just beautiful. By far the best 5 day hike of my life and I'd highly recommend it to everybody.
