5 days of exhaustion but good times. Day one was chilled, camped in a beautiful valley and hiked up to a super beautiful lagoon.
The walk up is an hour of steep slog. Day two was crazy hard, nothing could have prepared me for the intense 12 hours of steep ups send steep downs. Views amazing along the way but going up to the Salkantay pass was really really tough. Members of our group experienced altitude sickness pretty bad but because there was only 1 guide between 10 they had the stick with the group.
It would have been much better to have at least 2 guides for a group of 10 as often on the walks we were very separated from the guide. Day 3 was more chilled and the hot springs were amazin .
Day 4 ends in the Machu Picchu town which has incredible massages. The cooks on the trip were amazing, food was incredible.
