From bus to foot, grass hut & tents, magical vertical mountains, rain & cold winds, mud paths, rock trails going straight up, glacial views, new friends and great food. This trek was a life challenge of endurance and self belief. Sharing this with my daughter made this adventure perfect.
Our first day was meeting new faces, short hike to our first camp site, to arrive to grass huts with tents set up inside. Our first lunch together as Carlos says, as a "family". Siesta then the hike up to the glacier with an offering to Pacha Mama. The challenge was the altitude. Over 15,000 feet. I trailed behind but I did it !
