The hike to Machu Picchu was no easy walk but there was lots of encouragement. The guides were always positive and helpful looking after all of us in the group, of course the views are incredible! Our food was very very good, well balanced meals that our cooks worked very hard to prepare. Vegetarian and Gluten Free is no problem either!

At the end of the day the "thousand stars hotels" were very comfortable. Very good camping and the group was looked after in total before bed. Communication is also very easy because the guides can speak very good English. The reward at the end of the trek is incredible.

The thermal baths are a necessary and a welcome stop for the aching muscles, and there are several rivers to take a refreshing dip along the way. To sum it all, Machu Picchu is a must but only if you walk with the Incas!
