First of all, Edwin and Marco were fantastic guides and looked after everybody, especially my sextagenarian mum.
They were always good-humoured and fun, also extremely patient. The views were always breathtaking and although that second day was about as tough as it gets. 1200 metres is a very, very high altitude to climb.
Luckily, both Edwin and Marco were very encouraging and confidence-building, so even the hardest day was good fun and not too bad. My only complaint was the place we had to go to for breakfast on the first day.
The food was beyond awful. It was barely edible. And then we had to pay 20 soles for it! They should have paid me 30 soles just for trying to eat it. Sort that out for the future please.
