The Inca Trail is an amazing adventure. All the beautiful Inca ruïnes you cross and the dead woman's pass are truly amazing.
With in the end of course the ancient Macchu Picchu. I fell in love with this place. Our guide Jorge explained a lot about the history of Peru, about the old legends and about the way they used to build places like this. Also about how people still live with their old legends and beliefs nowadays. Very interesting to know.
The only thing that bothered me was that we had to carry our own sleeping bag and sleeping pad.
I did not know à nd did not expect that. That was a big con for me and that should be clear when you book the trail. A lot of other groups did not have to carry that. If you feel fit you should really participate this trail !.
