An epic journey

This has been an incredible experience. The Salkantay trek, especially day two, took me far out of my comfort zone, which turned out to be well worth it! The scenery was breathtaking and the climates were diverse.

Our guide was a lot of fun who not only showed us how to succeed on this rigorous trek, but took a genuine interest in our lives, making sure we had a great experience.

I additionally enjoyed meeting backpackers from other groups who were from all over the world and provided a sense of camaraderie. Finally I got the chance to use my Spanish and connect with the local Peruvian people.

In the end, I am extremely happy that I have chosen to take this trip of a lifetime.
