The Salkantay trek was an amazing adventure. Our guides Ceasar and Jimmy were absolutely amazing and went out of their way to help us. The food provided by the chefs on the hike was superb… Although the food at the restaurant on the last night was very poor.
The weather can never be anticipated, but dress wisely for rain. There are plenty of stops along the way to pick up extra snacks or a drink if are required.
Dont forget to bring an extra memory card for your camera. Expect “inca flat” and “inca km’s” these are just made up estimations!
