He taught us all about the Inka culture, in a very careful and detailed manner. He also answered to all of our questions and was very patient and well humored. Mateo, our cook, is the kindest and thoughtful person. Despite the language barrier, he always smiled and tried to please us. He even made a beautiful cake for my birthday!. The food was amazing.
He also carried a lot of weight when we had trouble with the railroad, taking our bags and cooking equipment and tents in his back to the next stop. Finally, the restricted number of our group (four) made all the difference: we could get really close and get to know to each other (including Ever), which made us a Salkantay family.
Thank you for this amazing experience, it was all worth it.
