I can safely say that this adventure was physically challenging, exhausting, dirty, mentally trying, and totally amazing. I pushed myself to climb stairs for 5 straight hours, and walk down steep stairs cloaked in clouds, and had a great time doing it.
My only issues were with pre-trip communication. Ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date is really crucial for helping a challenging trip like this run smoothly. Just something as simple as emails every 4 days for the weeks before the trip begins would have helped our group plan ahead and feel more comfortable !
Once we hit the trail, I could not have felt more comfortable with Ronnie and Carlos and our skilled porters. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
