I ain’t using no porter

What an excellent four days. It was so lovely to have everything set up and ready for you after a tough day of walking. The food was amazing, especially given the remote locations and available equipment, and there was always plenty to go around. The chaskis were nothing short of incredible. Carrying one of their huge packs for a short ten minutes gave a real appreciation for the physical endeavor that they endure. We were incredibly lucky with the weather at the peak of the rainy season, and the spectacular views kept the spirits high when the legs were faltering. Many thanks to our guide Marco for keeping us organised and informed at all times, and ensuring such an enjoyable trek.
