I know I certainly would have had a much harder time completing the trek had it not been for our amazing guide, Jose, and the help of the porters. He kept us upbeat and moving at a good pace, and was very understanding and kind whenever I had to stop for a break.
Everyone was very nice and professional, and we were treated like kings on the hike. I had never expected the meals to be as involved and delicious as they were. Upon arriving at any archaeological site, Jose was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the Incas, and would answer any questions we had, as well as give an explanation of what we were seeing. At Machu Picchu the tour was very enlightening and fun!
I would highly recommend Inca Trail Reservations for any hike you chose to complete!
