Overall fantastic experience ! Our guide Freddy was very knowledgable about Inca history and the different sites that we visited along the way. The Inca way of life, their architecture and craftsmanship was fascinating and they left many lessons that modern day society could learn from. You find yourself entranced by how they could get the rocks there in the first place let alone carve and create such beautiful structures.

Each day when we arrived at our camp the porters had our tents set up and ready. The food was excellent. Our cook, Simon, made a variety of traditional soups and dishes each day, leaving us very satisified.

We felt like we had a lot more appreciation and awe of Machu Pichu since we had done the trail first. I think we had a richer experience for doing the trail first as apposed to sitting on a train or bus. You had a sense of achievement for finishing it and then you got to see Machu Pichu !

Machu Pichu was an epic finish to the trek and the extra guided tour at the end made the experience much more interesting.

Definetly a trip we would recommend Inca Trail Reservations .
