My friend and I booked our hike with Inca Trail Reservations a few months before our scheduled date and they have been just as helpful from day one until present. We were unreachable for a lot of this period as we were travelling but we were kept well informed and they worked around us which were perfect, nothing was missed out!
We were given an informative briefing the day before the trek which gave us a chance to meet our group and guide, this was nice as you never know what to expect and it got conversations going to make the start of the trek more comfortable. We all knew and were happy with what was expected for the next few days and were gratefully reminded about what we needed to pack.
The day of departure was pretty easy not much needed from us as we were picked up right outside our hostel despite not being close to the centre! The trek may have been tough and for some seemed almost impossible but despite our age/gender/ability all our needs were recognized and the guides did everything they could to make everyone feel adequate… the encouragement given was perfect. I think everyone would agree that the sense of achievement when reaching the top of Dead Women’s Pass was one of the greatest feelings but reaching Machu Picchu was just spectacular. I also appreciated all the other sites along the way and it was nice to be kept somewhat as a group along the way as to learn all about the other ruins seen!
The company met all expectations and if not went further than! The food was excellent considering the conditions and no one was left feeling hungry (portions were far from stingy). I would definitely recommend this company to others, well worth the money spent!!!!!
