Excellent staff service. Truly no negative surprises. Everone was well informed, knowledgeable in their area, personable, and very friendly.
Our Salkantay trail tour guide David was a superman. He knew the trail like back of his hand. He understood everyone´s pace of hike and planned our hike time so well we never felt rushed. His passion for being a tour guide is commendable. He explained the history of Peru and it gave us a great understanding of the culture, heritage, and historical time lines. The cooks he brought and the horseman were wonderful. Every stop there were hot food served and the tents were all ready pitched for our stay. Final day of hiking Machu Picchu was great. He spent a lot time explaining the history behind and spent enough time to get us around.
I would recommend Salkantay.Org tour company to anyone and would ask you feel consider lucky if you get David Quispe as your tour guide.
The weather was awesome during our hike and we were so lucky about that.
Our stay was at Taypikala hotel which was clean, comfortable, great friendly service, and fantastic food at the restaurant downstairs.
