Salkantay trek

The Salkantay trek has been an experience I will never forget. This was my first real hiking / camping experience. I had read many blogs, but still had no idea what to expect when we were picked up early in Cusco.

Our first day was filled with amazing views of the Humantay Glacier, as well as an amazing visit to the lake. The most challenging was the second day as we ascended to over 4,600 meters.

Overall, the food was excellent, the staff was so helpful and pleasant, and everything ran smoothly. I would recommend this trek to the adventurous at heart! ¡Me encanta Peru!
