After a very early start from the hotel we made it to our first checkpoint of the Inca Trail . Our porters loaded all the food and other equipment in water proof pouches and off we all were. It was amazing what our porters could carry – food, pots, propane tanks, tables, tents and our large backpacks ! When we got to our campsite, our tents were set up and a full on dinner in our mess tent ready – soup, main course, dessert – all yummy. In the morning we were woken by our porters with cocoa tea – what a room service ! It was a tough climb, but well with it.
