The Four Musketeers

Our trip on the Salkantay trek far exceeded my expectations. The trek was challenging but so rewarding due to Lito, a passionate, funny and smart guide; our wonderful cooks Simone and Simon; and a great group of people who were driven to finish but also enjoy the great scenery along the trek.

I loved the variety of each day from the snow capped mountain avalanche to the waterfalls and butterflies in the jungle. The special touches on the trek are really what made the trip including the wake up tea in the morning, the trip to the lake on the first day, the historical insights from Lito and the positive encouragement along the way.

It felt very authentic and not over touristy which is exactly what I was looking for.
