Chat on WhatsAppIt is hard to sum up the experience of the Salkantay trek with words, because it is truly a great one.
First of all the views on the route are amazing. The glacier covered peaks of the mountains and the awesome rivers dividing the valleys is a sight of another world. You don't miss anything when it comes to scenic landscapes. Neither will you miss food.
During the whole trek you get served incredibly good food and plenty of it. All in all, I have not been missing anything from fantastically friendly guide or any other staff on the trek. The equipment is generally good, but the mats leave a bit to wish. That being the only bad thing I can say about this wonderful trip, that I would definitely recommend it if you want more than just Machu Picchu!
