Train, train and train ! I totally took this trek for granted. I am not sure why I was not warned properly from the people I know that have done this trek. However it has turned out to be a thrill and a huge sense of accomplishment. The combination of relief of completion and the sheer awe of the site of the Incan site called Machu Picchu has "almost" made me forget all my aches and pains.
There were times when I felt like I bit off more than I could chew but I am so glad I just kept putting one foot in front of the other. It's truly like the old saying "How do you eat an elephant ? .... One bite at a time !" Thank you Carlos "King of the Mountain" and Ronnie. All the best to you both. Thanks.
