The Machu Picchu Inca Trail is something I've wanted to do for a long time. I've been traveling the world for 5 months and it was one of the best things I've done during this time.
I'm not going to say it was all fun, as the trek was extremely hard, especially on the second day, where we reached a height of 4200m. Despite this the hard work put in made the view of Machu Picchu all the more rewarding, when we reached our destination on the 4th day.
A word must be mentioned for the porters / cooks. The amount of things they have to carry is ridiculous and the effort they put in is phenomenal. The food was amazing and you were never left feeling hungry.
Overall an amazing trip. My first wonder of the world ticked off!!!
The only negative of the trip was the toilets, as they were very basic indeed. Basically you have a hole in the ground. Apart from that the trip was well organized and ran.
