Salkantay

I had a fantastic time on this trek. The hiking was challenging, but Carlos was accommodating and helpful for those of us who are slower hikers. He helped us all move along at the rate we needed to hike without making us feel rushed. He encouraged everyone to hike at his or her own pace and to enjoy the scenery. Carlos was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, immediately smiling and getting excited whenever we asked him questions.

The food was superb and the best and most various I've yet had in Peru. The cooks all made more than enough and we hikers were treated like royalty by the porters, cooks, horsemen, and Carlos.

Most of all, I enjoyed the opportunity to visit small towns and rural areas I would never have seen as a tourist. All in all this was a fantastic experience, and I will always think of my adventure fondly. Carlos was a fantastic guide, and the overall trek was both challenging and gratifying. Thank you!
