Salkantay trek

Beautiful views and an overall challenging but amazing trek. Unbelievable to go from hail to sleet to snow to rain to sunshine in 16 hours. Playing cards with local kids was awesome and bonding with your fellow trekkers.

We were unsure what the trek would be like and were hesitant when we learned that the Inca Trail was unavailable , however the Salkantay Trek was amazing in and of itself.

When we got to the top of Salkantay it was too snowy to even see the peak, however our group morale was kept up and we trudged on through the rain !
