The only thing that I´d recommend for the website is a section describing the porter/guide tip; we did not know the proper amount of soles to give.
I really appreciated our guides, Ruben and Ronald. Ronald let me use his hiking stick when my knee was hurting, and Ruben was great at making the trek fun. Our group clicked right from the beginning, and we had a great time together. The porters were always on time and ready for us when we got to our site, and the cook was supreme! I always had enough food, and the food was authentic and excellent.
In general, my time during the trek was both difficult and relaxing. Some of the ascents and descents were challenging, but the check points always came at the right time. The difficulties of the trek helped bring our group together, and by the end of the hike we felt like a family. After we explored Machu-Picchu, our group went to lunch at a great restaurant in Aguas Calientes, where we had a great time of closure and celebration.
I will never forget my experience on the Inca Trail , and I highly recommend this trek and this company for any hiker who is seeking a challenge.
