My favorite part was hiking through the rainforest where we followed the original Inca trail as it wound its way around the mountain. I also really enjoyed stargazing at the second and third campsite where we could the Southern Cross clearly. Victor was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable on the Inca sites and also taught us some of the local language. The chef made us some incredible food and we were never hungry.
Finally, the porters deserve a special mention as they worked so hard carrying all of the gear and they were really friendly as well. I highly recommend Inca Trail Reservations to anyone looking to book an Inca Trail trek.
