Chat on WhatsAppHaving literally just arrived from the magnificent Machu Picchu approximately 30 minutes ago, I feel I can give a real honest and current account of this unbelievable adventure! I booked the 4 day Inca trail with a friend, we were unsure whether we had chosen the right company. However, from the first contact to the last drop off point in Cusco, Inca Trail Reservations were superb!
Prior to arriving in Peru, everything was arranged by the friendly team very efficiently and hassle-free. We were constantly kept up-to-date with all the arrangements, and the information provided was thorough and correct. All prices were shown up-front with no hidden fees.
On arrival to Cusco, we attended our trip briefing 1 day prior to the hike, where we met the other trekkers as well as our team guide (Poncho- ruben ), who we would later treat like family.
On day 1, we were picked up directly from our hotel bright and early, and made the 2 hour journey to the base camp. From there we began our 4 day, once in a lifetime hike to the amazing wonder of the world. Of course there were difficult times in the South American heat and impressive high altitude, however with the family atmosphere created by Poncho and Willie, we all made it to the top to enjoy both the spectacular views and history offered.
The 3 meals provided by our own cook were tasty, fulfilling and provided more than enough energy to conquer the hike.
I have no regrets going with Inca Trail Reservations to experience such an unique experience and feel I got the most out of the experience, as well as meeting some great new people or ¨family¨.
