Canadians can hike

My boyfriend convinced me to come to Peru with him to hike Machu Picchu. I was super nervous about the hike, since I hadn't trained and never been at high altitude. But I said yes. We packed every medication we thought was necessary, but at the end, we only needed Tylenol and Advil for the headache and joint aches from the altitude. Other than this, we had a blast !

It was amazing. I can recall learning about the Inca empire in elementary school and now this experience has made it realistic. The people, stories, and this experience has been amazing. Walking the Inca Trail has given me a whole new perspective on civilizations and people. This experience is priceless and filled with memories that will last a life time.
