My father has been wanting to visit Machu Picchu for many years. When my dad asked me to take the trek with him I jumped at the opportunity.
I'm not an avid hiker or camper but the trip was incredible. The setup of the porters and cook makes what you need to carry very manageable. The sights that you come across cannot be matched my many others in the world. The guides do a great job at explaining the different areas and have a lot of information if you have questions.
The food was great! No cans of chili here, these are meals that outdo what you might get in cusco. This was one of the most physically demanding things I've ever done but was able to accomplish the trek next to my father. We've made some awesome memories.
