Gourmet Food Gives Us Superpowers
Every time I go hiking, I get to a point where I’m asking myself “why am I doing this? I could be at home and comfortable right now.” Somehow, on a 45 km trek through a jungle, that thought never once crossed my mind. Maybe it was all the gourmet food we got along the way?
Our group finished the trek a day early. I mention this not to boast, but rather to point out that the porters also finished it a day early. My respect for those gentlemen cannot be understated. And that cook. Seriously. That cook should have a restaurant.
