My trip on the Salkantay trek far exceeded my expectations for many reasons. To start, I was constantly surrounded by breathtaking landscapes- we started our trip hiking a glacier and camping in the snow. By the next day, we made our way into the jungle! Not only were the views incredible, but we were also guided by an amazing crew, and taken care of very well with nourishing meals and hot drinks before and after long days of hiking. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we were filled with information on the Inca history. I would recommend hiking to Machu Picchu with the Salkantay Trek to anyone!
