We had a very informative briefing through our guide in our hotel one day before the trek started. Our guide told us the first day would be the easiest, but it wasn't.
It was very hard to reach the beautiful see in the mountains because of the very thin air in these highness. But it was the best test to find out who is fit and who is lame for the second day who was much harder. All who reach the Salkantay pass by foot could be very proud. The next days we walked a lot but it never was that hard as it was at the pass.
The final in Machu Picchu was very beautiful. The guide and the rest of the staff was very nice and friendly.
