Hiking honeymoon

My husband and i were married one week before We started our Trek. We began in Cusco and first met our team at our debriefing meeting.

Our guides gave a very thorough explanation of the trip and the expectations of the trekkers. We really enjoyed our experience and learning more about the Peruvian culture. My only complaint about the trip was the use of horses versus human porters since they were visibly exhausted and being beaten to keep walking with our very heavy gear.

I would have gladly paid quadrupel the price of the Trek for human porters over animals since they have a choice in the matter.

But, We were treated so well and provided with outstanding meals. My bleeding heart just wants the horses to have a lovely life.
