Amazing service from porters and guide. Great hot meals each day. Our guide was Victor and he was very knowledgable about the trail and Machu Picchu itself.
Don't underestimate day 2 through Dead Woman's Pass. It was the most physically strenuous day that I can recall, esp with the big pack on your back. Incredible views throughout the entire trail. Went in mid-late April and lucked out with great weather, clear every day with maybe 45 minutes of rain of the 3rd day.
If you want a challenge but with great service, I would highly recommend. Sometimes you think the stairs will never end .
