Very professional and well organised company. Communication on the lead up to the trip was quick and answered all my concerns.
When we turned up for the actual trek, our tour guide Raul was very experienced and patient - able to deal with a tour group with differing expectations. He was very respectful towards the trail and knowledgeable, able to answer all our questions. Marco, our other guide provided great humor and was always in the background organizing bits and pieces. We had the opportunity to "met and greet" the porters, and they appeared well treated and were all so friendly and helpful despite limited English (which I was concerned about having read on the Internet issues in this area)
I cannot describe how awesome the food was the entire time. Three courses most of the time, getting to try local dishes with food that was easily digestible - which was good given the toilet situation (unavoidable in a camping situation) I have no idea how the chef managed to make some of things, given the facilities and happy hour after a long day of trekking was worth looking forward to.
We hired walking sticks, sleeping bags and a full porter for two of us to share. I am glad we got the porter (14 kg including sleeping gear) as some of the Inca Trail was challenging. The sleeping bags were clean and very warm and I would recommend hiring if you are travelling around and don't want to lug them around.
I would recommend Inca Trail Reservations to do this trail with - the trail is a great way to see Peru and we even managed to see a baby deer on our journey.
