I was in a small group of 8 along with our guide, Manuel, and our fantastic team of porters (including our talented cook). During the trek we saw some amazing scenery and came across some unbelievable sites of Inca ruins.
Our guide was very informative, sharing the history and stories about these sites. We were well looked after the entire trek, including getting room service each morning of coca tea. Each person in the group was supported during the trek, especially during the tough climbs.
Arriving at Machu Picchu made the trekking of the past 3 days all worthwhile. It was an amazing site that must be visited at least once. I am glad I have done it and have the stories to last a lifetime. Thank you to our guide, the cook and the hardworking porters... you make this possible.
