This was an extremely tough but very enjoyable expedition! Each day presented different challenges which I am glad I was able to conquer. I was amazed by the porters agility and speed up the mountain. They are also great dancers. Guides were helpful and very knowledgeable.
I learnt a lot about the Inca people and am impressed by how they lived. Every time we stopped we were treated to an amazing view and stunning backdrop. We had a great group of people and shared many memorable moments.
My favorite part of the journey was reaching Dead Women's pass and staring down the mountain from 4215 meters above sea level. Although pancakes for breakfast was also among my best moments.
I will definitely recommend this trip to my friends and family back home.
